Gay student found murdered in Gallaudet University residence hall.  Police are not yet saying whether it was a hate crime or not.

This is quite possibly the worst nightmare for a residence hall director like myself. I did an extensive research project on the gay & deaf community during grad school, and naturally many of the resources came from Gallaudet University -- it was sad to see how much homophobia there is in the deaf community. You'd think that because the deaf are already a minority community that they'd be more supportive; but then, how many other minority communities are super supportive of their gay members either?
